OLAND REVIEWS ATLANTA (11-19 last week)
Porgy and Bess - yes. ACAC - Cindy Loehr - mysterious, disturbing zen-like poetry/sound sculpture - "Pillowheads"
(why didn't Oland do that first?) Cecilia Kane (another little Catholic girl) installation and performance - yes, yes maybe
get her to come to WCU? Agnes Scott body show interesting, gimmicky, shallow - and worth the trip!

Clinging, Loss, Discovery!
Ballad of the Absent Mare (excerpt)
By Leonard Cohen
Say a prayer for the cowboy,
his mare's run away
And he'll walk 'til he finds her.
his darling his stray
But the river's in flood
And the roads are awash
And the bridges break up
in the panic of loss
And there's nothing to follow,
there's nowhere to go
She's gone like the summer
she's gone like the snow....

Ardha Chandra
Mary Gaye's yoga class: directed to sky and trees, we became half-moons, a forest of Indian spices, soaring, waxing, swaying.
in email later: half-moon is half for tonight and a heart is full for now....

Who's at the Wheel?
It's an exquisite day. Temperature must be about 70 and oh the colors! Everywhere the colors of Indian spices - cayenne,
turmeric, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, cardamon, cumin, fenugreek, cilantro --wow!
At this moment -grateful for this day, the path - past and future. Control is out of the question.....what a relief.
